We are trying to get the pending email notifications stopped by the vendor and all of the duplicate auto pays cancelled. They are diligently working on it. Here is what we know happened:
The invoices were sent to online bill pay 25x. This triggers the event emails to the customer 1) new invoice is available and 2) autopay has been scheduled.
They send these emails in batches so due to the sheer volume, it has been sending them every couple hours but hopefully can be stopped soon
The duplicate invoices were removed and the vendor is cancelling the scheduled auto pays now.
Once all of this is cleaned up, the activity online should resume to normal.
Those affected have an autopay date on or around January 7th, 2023 and they expect everything to be rectified in plenty of time. For additional information or concerns, contact Republic Services at 1-800-247-3644.
