New Franklin Residents Encouraged to take Comprehensive Plan Survey

The City of New Franklin is inviting residents to complete the Comprehensive Plan Survey, which will provide City Officials with valuable feedback for short- and long-term planning. The city-wide survey, last completed in 2004, is a key part of the Comprehensive Plan project. The results, along with data collected at past public visioning events and upcoming community workshops, will help consultant Poggemeyer Design Group develop a plan for the city that is truly a collective vision of the community.

The survey is open through December 15 and is available online at newfranklin.org and in print. A printed copy of the survey was mailed to each household in New Franklin with instructions to have all residents in the household take the survey either online or by obtaining additional copies at City Hall (5611 Manchester Road) or at the Portage Lakes Branch Library (4261 Manchester Road).

The community is also encouraged to participate in the upcoming Public Workshops to provide further input for the Comprehensive Plan. The workshops will be held at Gather at the Lakes (4315 Manchester Road) from 6-8 p.m. on January 26, February 7, and March 9.

To learn more about the Comprehensive Plan, to sign up for email and text alerts, and to access the survey and a list of frequently asked questions visit newfranklin.org. Residents can call City Hall at 330-882-4324 or email the Comprehensive Plan committee with questions or for assistance.
