Children’s Fishing Derby is Saturday, May 7 at Boettler Park

GREEN, OH – The City of Green’s Parks and Recreation Division welcomes children ages 12 and under to participate in this years Fishing Derby. Please join us at the Boettler Park Pond, 5300 Massillon Road, on Saturday, May 7 at 8:45am for registration and kick-off. The derby will begin promptly at 9:00am and poles are to be removed from the pond at 11:00am. There is no registration cost to participate.
The age groups for the Fishing Derby are: 5 years old and under, 6 to 7 years old, 8 to 9 years old, and 10 to 12 years old. Smaller children can be helped by a parent or guardian if needed.
Awards are presented to children in each age group for Longest Fish, Shortest Fish, Most Fish Caught, and more! This event is free and there is no pre-registration required.
Participants must bring their own fishing pole and bait!
