DEI February Meeting Features Interactive Training Cradle to Career Experience

City of Green recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Green’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee’s February Meeting Features Guest Speaker Matthew Deevers, Executive Director of The Summit Education Initiative, Presenting an Interactive Training the Cradle to Career Experience. 

The City of Green is hosting Matthew Deevers, executive director at Summit Education Initiative, for his Cradle to Career Experience, an interactive simulation activity, on Saturday, February 26 at 9 a.m. in the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Blvd.

The Cradle to Career Experience teaches participants firsthand how life circumstances and resources impact student success into adulthood. The experience is supported by local and national research showing the relationships between social factors and educational attainment. 

Matthew Deevers is the executive director at Summit Education Initiative and the creator of the Cradle to Career Experience. Dr. Deevers has been involved with education research, education, and leadership for more than 25 years. The Summit Education Initiative is an organization on a mission to increase personal and regional prosperity in Summit County through educational attainment.
