Now Accepting Student Municipal Representative Applications

City of Green recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Green is now accepting applications for the Student Municipal Representative Class of 2022-2023 open to Green residents entering grades 10 through 12.

Students accepted into the program will be appointed to nonvoting positions on City boards and commissions including the Board of Zoning Appeals, Civil Service Commission, Design Review Board, Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Committee, Drug Task Force, Historic Preservation Commission, Living Green Task Force, Parks and Recreation Board, Planning and Zoning Commission and the Sister City Committee. Students serve from September through May.

Entering its 6th year, the Student Municipal Representative program has provided more than 70 students opportunities to be involved in the people and processes of Green’s local government.  The goal is to inspire meaningful community involvement and leadership throughout the course of their lives.

Application deadline is March 1 by 4 p.m.  More information and access to the online application are available at cityofgreen.org/StudentRep.
